A Brief of Tax Payers Service Centre:

Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) considers all taxpayers as the cornerstone of economic independence and prosperity of the nation. Tax Payer Service Centre is an initiative in this direction undertaken by CBIC to provide assistance to all the queries of the genuine taxpayers

Tax Payer Service Centre of Mumbai Zone I has been established on the “Ground floor, Old building, New Custom House, Ballard Estate, Mumbai0-400 001” and is fully operational vide Public Notice no. 56/2015 dated: 16.12.2015 under the orders of Principal Commissioner of Customs (General). The TPSC will deal with all issues pertaining to General, Import-I, Import-II, Export, Appeal and Audit Commissionerates of Mumbai Zone I. Every Wednesday is designated as “Taxpayers Day” vide Facility No. 04/2017-18 dated18.08.2017, wherein any importer/exporter or their representative can meet the Commissioner or Addl/Joint Commissioner from 10:00 Hrs. to 13:00 Hrs without any prior appointment in order to get their grievances addressed expeditiously.

Tax payer Service center is a single window system for accepting/handling all Taxpayers queries, complaints, grievances etc. TPSC will also entertain all queries of Taxpayers via various mediums viz., email, telephone, skype. Queries related to Mumbai Customs Zone II and Zone III will be redirected to respective zones and the taxpayer will be informed accordingly.
